Faruk Mustapha Named APC Running Mate for Bauchi 2027

Faruk Mustapha has emerged as the running mate for Barr. Mohd Abdullahi Abubakar, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Bauchi State in the upcoming 2027 elections.

Mustapha, who previously served as the Director General for Governor Bala Mohammed's 2023 re-election campaign, confirmed his nomination in an interview, expressing his readiness to serve the people of Bauchi State. He emphasized the importance of contributing positively to the state's development and accepted the nomination with confidence.

Mustapha's selection follows his recent departure from the People's Movement (APM), where he lost the governorship ticket. Abubakar, who has prior experience as governor, believes this partnership will leverage his knowledge of governance to benefit the state.

APC state organizing secretary Sallau Kafi confirmed the party leadership's submission of Mustapha's credentials to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the running mate slot.
