Senator Buba Denies Allegations of Aiding Bandits

Senator Buba, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Livestock and Animal Husbandry and the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) governorship candidate in Bauchi State, has been accused of aiding bandits. These allegations were made by a resident named ‘Hassan’ during an interview with social media influencer ‘D English Alhaji Media’.

Hassan claimed that individuals associated with notorious bandit kingpin Dogo Gide were trained in Abuja by one of Buba’s aides. In September 2024, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed accused Buba of funding a suspected bandit, Abubakar Idris, for the Hajj pilgrimage, which led to Idris's arrest by the Department of State Services for banditry.

Former Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar also questioned Buba's wealth, labeling it as “blood money.” Buba's legal team has filed a petition against Abubakar for cyberstalking and defamation. Buba denied all allegations, describing them as false and part of a coordinated campaign, and challenged anyone with credible evidence to come forward.
