Tosin Demehin Leaves Galatasaray After Two-Year Spell

Tosin Demehin, a Nigerian international and defender for the Super Falcons, has announced her departure from Galatasaray after a two-year tenure with the Turkish Women’s Super Lig club. Demehin joined Galatasaray Women from French side Stade de Reims in 2024 on an initial one-year contract, which was extended after she became a regular in the team.

During her time at Galatasaray, the club was unable to replicate the success of their 2023/24 title-winning campaign. In her farewell message shared on Instagram, Demehin expressed her gratitude towards Galatasaray and its supporters, stating, “Thank you, Galatasaray, for an incredible chapter.

It has been an honour to wear this badge and represent this great club.” She leaves the club with respect, pride, and unforgettable memories. Demehin, 23, has not yet disclosed her next destination but is expected to attract interest from clubs across Europe as the new season approaches.

Recently, she participated in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where Nigeria was eliminated in the quarter-finals.
