Ebonyi CP Urges Officers to Mind Social Media Conduct

On Tuesday, during a meeting with personnel at the Ebonyi Command, Hope Okafor, the Commissioner of Police, emphasized the importance of police officers maintaining proper conduct on social media platforms. This advisory was issued in light of recent directives from the Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, regarding the management of police personnel.

Okafor reiterated the need for officers to adhere strictly to the Nigeria Police Force's social media policies, particularly as the election season approaches. He instructed area command and division police officers to ensure that contact numbers are displayed prominently to enhance public access and confidence.

Furthermore, Okafor directed that officers should engage regularly with the community, maintain a professional appearance, and ensure their identification details are properly displayed. He also mentioned that the X-Squad would intensify monitoring of officers across the command to enforce appropriate sanctions for any misconduct.
