NYSC Urges Corps Members to Create Jobs and Skills

During the swearing-in of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course on Friday at the Yakubu Gowon NYSC Orientation Camp in Dutse, Jigawa State, NYSC Coordinator Mohammed Baba charged corps members to become wealth creators by acquiring skills and creating jobs for others. He congratulated them on completing their academic programs and described their deployment to Jigawa as a unique national assignment.

Baba explained that the three-week orientation course is designed to prepare corps members physically, mentally, and psychologically for their service year. He highlighted the importance of discipline and teamwork within the camp environment and urged corps members to adhere to camp rules and regulations.

Baba encouraged them to take the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programmes seriously to combat post-graduation unemployment. He reassured them of their safety during the service year while advising them to remain security conscious and avoid social vices.

Baba also expressed gratitude to the state government and stakeholders for their support of the corps members' welfare.
