NYSC DG Urges Corps Members on Service and Entrepreneurship

On Thursday, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), addressed corps members at the orientation camp in Benue State, emphasizing the importance of service, discipline, and entrepreneurship. He encouraged corps members to build meaningful professional networks and to embrace skill acquisition to create employment opportunities.

Nafiu reminded the corps members that their service year represents a transition from academic life to the professional world and urged them to take advantage of every opportunity available. He advised them to cultivate a savings culture and practice prudent spending to avoid overdependence on a single source of income.

Additionally, he cautioned against unauthorized travel and stressed the need to comply with NYSC regulations for personal safety. Mr. Veronica Garba, the Benue State Coordinator, welcomed Nafiu and reported on the camp's activities, while Miss Unung Felicia Udosinachi was celebrated for her birthday during the visit.
