Beach Volleyball Camp in Kaduna Discovers New Talents

The Musa Rifkatu Foundation Beach Volleyball Camp concluded in Kaduna after an eight-day duration from August 16 to 23, 2023, held at Murtala Square. The camp attracted 15 potential players from across Nigeria and resulted in the discovery of five players over six feet tall, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria's beach volleyball history.

Participants were educated on the sport and received various gifts, including sports bags, sanitary towels, high-quality beach volleyballs, nets, antennas, and certificates of participation. Mrs. Chioma Odili, the coordinator of the Musa Rifkatu Foundation, encouraged the girls to remain focused and avoid negative influences.

Engr Musa Nimrod, President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), urged participants to prioritize their education and continue training. DCP Stephen Hasso, chairman of the Beach Commission, visited the camp, providing monetary gifts and encouraging the girls to promote beach volleyball in their communities.

The camp's success is anticipated to enhance Nigeria's prospects in the sport.
