Nathaniel Idowu Summer Camp Concludes with Success

The Nathaniel Idowu Summer Camp ended on a high note at the New Maracana Sports Complex in Tolu, Lagos, with over 500 children and 200 parents attending the closing ceremony. Organized by Peakline Sports World Ltd and supported by the Nathaniel Idowu Foundation, the four-week camp emphasized grassroots sports development, mentorship, and character building.

Twenty certified coaches and seven ad-hoc staff supervised the participants, providing meals, medical support, and transport allowances. Yemi Idowu, founder of the Nathaniel Idowu Foundation, stated that the camp aimed to give children in Ajegunle hope through sports.

The closing ceremony included basketball activities, with Idowu announcing plans to construct a new basketball court at the complex. The Foundation also promoted girls' participation in football through its Let Her Play project, inducting 32 new female players.

Additionally, 300 standout performers were selected for weekend training sessions, with support from US-based Gear ’em Up providing kits for participants.
