Military Confirms Four Personnel Killed in Benisheikh Attack

The military, specifically the Joint Task Force North East under Operation Hadin Kai, clarified that four personnel, not 17 as previously reported, paid the supreme price during a terrorist attack near Benisheikh. Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba issued a statement on Friday, refuting the exaggerated figures circulating in the media, which he described as false and misleading.

The official report indicated that the casualties included two officers and two soldiers, contradicting claims of 17 fatalities, including a brigade commander. The military emphasized that the vehicle of the brigade commander was unserviceable due to operational mine resistance, not equipment failure.

Additionally, the military warned against the spread of misinformation and emphasized that the circulating images and videos were not connected to the Benisheikh incident. They reaffirmed their commitment to providing accurate information and urged the public to rely on official sources.
