Military Confirms Four Personnel Killed in Benisheikh Attack

The military, through Operation Hadin Kai, clarified that four personnel were killed, not 17, during a recent terrorist attack near Benisheikh. Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba stated that the figures circulating in the media were highly exaggerated and inaccurate, aimed at misleading the public.

The Defence Headquarters had previously released a report indicating that two officers and two soldiers were casualties, refuting claims that a brigade commander was among the deceased. Uba explained that the brigade commander's vehicle was temporarily immobilized during the engagement, not due to equipment failure but as part of a coordinated counter-assault.

He condemned the dissemination of misleading images and videos related to the attack, urging the public to disregard such content and rely on verified information. The military reaffirmed its commitment to providing accurate updates and maintaining public confidence in their operations.
