Mortuary Worker Arrested for Using Corpse Leg as Stick

Amaobi, a mortuary worker in Benue State, was arrested by the Benue State Police Command on Friday morning after being reported for using a human leg as a walking stick in public. This incident occurred in Agwabi Community, Buruku Local Government Area, and caused panic and confusion among residents and passersby.

Eyewitnesses described the unusual sight, prompting local youths to apprehend Amaobi and hand him over to the police for further questioning. During interrogation, Amaobi admitted to his actions, stating that he wanted to draw public attention to the problem of uncollected corpses in the mortuary, claiming there were 18 bodies linked to suspected criminal killings that had not been evacuated.

He expressed a desire for government intervention to address the overwhelming situation. The police confirmed that Amaobi remains in custody as investigations continue to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
