NDC's Edoh Condemns Obstruction of Obi's Convoy

Dr. Raymond Edoh, the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Benue State, condemned the obstruction of the party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, during an incident near the Air Force Base along Gboko Road. Edoh called for an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the blockade, which was reportedly enforced by security personnel.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, Edoh described the incident as a "dangerous development" that threatens democracy and urged the Federal Government, security agencies, and the Benue State Government to clarify the situation. He emphasized the importance of political freedom and peaceful participation in credible elections, particularly with the 2027 general elections approaching.

Edoh appealed to international organizations, including the United Nations and ECOWAS, to monitor Nigeria's democratic processes and protect political freedoms, asserting that the incident should concern all Nigerians who value democracy.
