Benue State Partners with Egypt to Revive Taraku Mills

The Benue State Government is partnering with Egyptian engineers from Al Wadi Al Akhdar Oil Mills to revitalize the Taraku Mills factory located in the Gwer East Local Government Area. Dr Raymond Asemakaha, Managing Director of the Benue Investment and Property Company, announced the initiative.

On Monday, a team led by Saleh Mansury inspected the facility, assessing its readiness for full-scale production at approximately 75%. Mansury encouraged local farmers to increase the cultivation of soybeans, groundnuts, and maize, which are essential raw materials for the factory's operations.

He identified the boiler and solvent machine as key areas needing upgrades to align with modern technology, which would improve operational efficiency and reduce energy consumption. Mansury stated that full-scale production would commence once the necessary upgrades are completed.

Engineer James Emmanuel confirmed the factory's good condition and its potential for effective operation following the upgrades. This inspection is part of ongoing efforts to optimize Taraku Mills' production capacity.
