PDP Candidate Aondoakaa Condemns Benue Killings

Michael Aondoakaa (SAN), the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Benue State, condemned the recent attack on Abaashwa community in Mbaasar, Nzorov Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area, where suspected armed herdsmen killed four individuals. In a statement released on Tuesday by his media aide, James Ian, Aondoakaa described the attack as “barbaric, heartbreaking and yet another painful reminder of the worsening security situation in Benue State.” He extended condolences to the families of the victims and expressed concern over the deteriorating security environment, stating that effective security should focus on preventing such attacks.

Aondoakaa highlighted the impact of recurring violence on the agricultural economy and urged the state government to prioritize the protection of lives and property. He also raised concerns about delays in medical care for injured victims due to an ongoing industrial action by doctors in the state, calling for emergency arrangements to ensure timely medical assistance.
