Benue State Seeks Support to Promote Agricultural Products

Benue State is actively seeking support to enhance the promotion of its agricultural products on a global scale. Dr.

Benjamin Ashav, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, emphasized the state's commitment to partnering with the PNBDP (Project Nigeria Brand Development Programme) during a meeting in Makurdi on Monday. The delegation, led by Hon.

Ikon Oraduen, visited the commission to discuss strategies for showcasing Benue's unique agricultural potential. A significant initiative proposed includes the launch of a special Benue rice brand, which is seen as a milestone in the state's efforts to combat hunger and position itself as a prominent player in global food production.

Dr. Ashav assured that the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security is ready to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that agricultural products and livestock from Benue State are fully showcased, thereby attracting local and international investments.

The meeting also included discussions on identifying and promoting quality products and services from the state.
