Mike Ikoku Empowers 1,000 Imolites in Easter Event

On April 4, 2023, billionaire philanthropist Mike Obinna Chiez Ikemsinachi Ikoku hosted a large-scale empowerment event in his hometown, Obinocha Village, Nkwere Local Government Area, Imo State. The event, which coincided with the Easter season, aimed to express gratitude to God and commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

It attracted an unprecedented crowd, including men, women, youth, and children from surrounding communities. Ikoku praised the administration of Governor Hope Uzodinma for its strides in infrastructure development, economic growth, and job creation.

He emphasized the importance of reconnecting with community roots and promoting unity among the people. The empowerment initiative benefited 1,000 attendees, who were treated to lavish meals and received bags of rice and cash support, regardless of formal invitations.

Ikoku's philanthropic efforts, despite holding no public office, have set a new benchmark for private contributions to grassroots development in Imo State.
