Eniola Bolaji Claims Silver at 2026 Para-Badminton Worlds

Eniola Bolaji, a 2024 Paralympic bronze medallist, achieved a silver medal at the 2026 Para-Badminton World Championship held in Bahrain. In the women's SL3 final on Saturday, Bolaji faced Japan's Shino Kawai, securing second place and marking her first-ever podium finish at a world championship.

Throughout the tournament, Bolaji demonstrated exceptional skill, having previously defeated China's Gao Yuan in the semifinals with a score of 21-12, 21-16. Her performance throughout the tournament was characterized by consistent excellence, as she also recorded straight-set victories against competitors from Australia, Brazil, France, and Turkey, including world number five Halim Yildiz.

Despite the final result, Bolaji's journey in Bahrain solidified her status as the reigning African champion in para-badminton.
