IGP Visits Borno, Meets Bomb Blast Victims

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) visited Borno State following a bomb blast that occurred the previous night, meeting with victims receiving treatment at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. During the visit, he expressed deep sympathy for the victims and commended the prompt response to the incident.

The Deputy Governor of Borno State, Usman Umar Kadafur, congratulated the IGP on his appointment and described the visit as a moral booster for the people of the state. The IGP underscored the federal government's concern for the safety of Borno residents and reaffirmed the state government's commitment to collaborating with security agencies to achieve peace.

He also charged the Borno State Police Command, led by CP Nazir Abdulmaje, to heighten vigilance, strengthen intelligence gathering, and remain proactive in their duties. The IGP assured residents of the police force's commitment to safeguarding lives and property and urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
