Zulum Donates N200M to Azare Orthopaedic Hospital

On a recent inspection visit to the Federal Health Institute, Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum announced an additional donation of N200 million to the National Orthopaedic Hospital Azare. This contribution raises the total support from the Borno State Government to N400 million.

The hospital, which commenced full clinic services six months ago, has successfully treated 4,000 patients and performed 300 major orthopedic surgeries, including hip and knee replacements and spine surgeries. Governor Zulum described the hospital's achievements in its first six months of operation as a testament to dedicated and visionary leadership.

He also mentioned that although the hospital was approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a year ago, it has already recorded significant milestones despite not receiving capital release or overhead funds from the federal government.
