Zulum Unveils Multi-Million-Naira JAMB HQ in Borno

On Wednesday, Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum inaugurated a multi-million-naira Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) zonal headquarters and a 500-seat Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre located along the Maiduguri-Dikwa Road.

This facility, which serves as JAMB’s North-east Zonal Office, is designed to provide administrative and examination services to the six states in the region. It includes a modern office complex and a dual CBT centre capable of accommodating 500 candidates simultaneously, processing over 2,000 candidates daily.

This project is notable as it is the first instance of a state government independently financing, constructing, and donating such a facility to JAMB. During the commissioning, Zulum emphasized the importance of the project in rebuilding education in a region affected by insurgency.

JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede praised the initiative as unprecedented and a reflection of Zulum’s commitment to education, highlighting the facility's potential to significantly enhance JAMB’s operational capacity in the North-east.
