BPP Mandates Digital Submission for Procurement Requests

On September 7, 2026, Dr. Adebowale A. Adedokun, FCIPS, the Director-General/CEO of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), announced a mandatory transition to a Digital Submission Portal for all official correspondence and requests.

This initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s digital transition initiative and paperless governance strategy, as outlined in the BPP Circular referenced BPP/DG/2026/583, dated February 18, 2026. Dr. Adedokun emphasized that the new web-based and automated platform will allow Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), as well as vendors, contractors, consultants, and service providers, to submit procurement-related requests electronically.

This transition aims to enhance transparency, improve operational workflows, eliminate bureaucratic delays, and reinforce accountability in public procurement processes. The Bureau will no longer accept manual submissions, and Dr. Adedokun urged all Accounting Officers in MDAs and stakeholders to align their operational procedures with the digital portal.
