Nigerian Army Reshuffles Senior Officers for Security

The Nigerian Army has implemented a major reshuffle of its senior officers, as announced in a statement issued on Saturday by the acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Appolonia Anel. This restructuring, approved by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, aims to strengthen national security and improve operational effectiveness across the country.

Key appointments include Major General W.M. Dangana as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3 Division, replacing Major General E.F.

Oyinlola, and Major General E.I. Okoro as GOC of the 6 Division.

Other notable appointments include Major General J.R. Lar as the commander at Army Headquarters Garrison, and Brigadier General O.M.

Oyekola serving as the acting Military Secretary. The reshuffle also emphasizes technological advancements in military operations, with Major General S.A.

Emmanuel appointed to command the Nigerian Army Space Command. The restructuring reflects the Army's commitment to addressing contemporary and future security challenges in Nigeria.
