Bandits Abduct Zamfara Council Chairman Nura Umar Bungudu

In a recent incident, suspected armed bandits abducted Hon. Nura Umar Bungudu, the Chairman of Bungudu Local Government Area in Zamfara State.

The attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday when the gunmen stormed Bungudu town and targeted the chairman’s residence located in the Zango area. A family member, who requested anonymity, reported that the assailants overpowered the security personnel present at the residence.

During the assault, two police officers and vigilantes were killed before the bandits took the chairman and some family members away. The incident highlights ongoing security challenges in the region.
