DSS Rescues Four Kidnapped Polytechnic Students in Zamfara

On a late Wednesday, operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) successfully rescued the last four remaining kidnapped students of the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda, in Zamfara State. The students, consisting of four males and one female, were abducted on June 3 from their off-campus hostel located in the Low-cost area of Kaura Namoda town.

Armed bandits had stormed the building, initially seizing six students. Following the earlier release of two of the six students, security forces intensified their intelligence-led operations, which culminated in the safe return of the remaining four students without any ransom being paid.

During the operation, one of the kidnappers was arrested, while the others did not survive. The successful rescue operation brought relief to the families and the community affected by the kidnapping incident.
