DSS Rescues Kidnapped Professor in Lafia, Arrests Suspects

The Department of State Services (DSS) rescued a kidnapped professor on Friday at approximately 3 PM in Lafia, Nasarawa State. The professor, whose name is not specified, was abducted by armed men in the Mile Uku boundary community.

Following the successful rescue operation, the DSS formally handed the professor over to family members during a brief ceremony attended by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Lafia, Professor Kitso Ngbargu. The DSS expressed its commitment to working diligently to ensure the safety of individuals and has taken custody of two suspects involved in the kidnapping.

The agency indicated that it would meticulously prosecute the suspects in court, with little doubt that they would soon face legal consequences for their actions.
