Rivers Court Denies Injunction in Fubara Impeachment Case, Wike's Camp Celebrates

The Rivers State High Court in Oyigbo has refused to issue an injunction sought by lawmakers against Chief Judge Chibuzor Simeon Amadi in the impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Deputy Ngozi Ordu. This development comes as a victory for Governor Nyesom Wike's camp, with the court ruling that the matter is already before the Court of Appeal.

The impeachment process led by the Rivers Assembly against Fubara will be on hold pending the appeal court's decision.
