Ibadan Residents Protest Govt Land-Grabbing for Circular Road Project

Ibadan residents are protesting the Oyo State government's move to acquire more land for the Circular Road Project, expanding beyond the initial 150-meter mark set during former Governor Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja's tenure. The demonstrations have led to traffic congestion and disruptions in various areas of Ibadan, with residents demanding the government stick to the original plan.

Governor Seyi Makinde's administration is facing opposition from communities along the proposed road corridor, including Ido, Lagelu, Ona Ara, Akinyele, Oluyole, and Egbeda local government areas.
