Nigerian Army Reshuffles Senior Officers for Security

The Nigerian Army has executed a significant reshuffle of its senior officers, as announced in a statement by the acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Appolonia Anel, on Saturday. This strategic redeployment, approved by Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, aims to strengthen national security and enhance military operations in response to emerging security threats.

Key appointments include Major General W.M. Dangana as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division, replacing Major General E.F.

Oyinlola, and Major General E.I. Okoro as GOC 6 Division.

Other notable appointments include Major General S.A. Emmanuel as the commander of the Nigerian Army Space Command, and Major General O.

Adegb as the Director of Intelligence Security at Army Headquarters. The reshuffle also includes Brigadier General I.B.

Buhari as the commander of Headquarters 63 Brigade and Brigadier General K. Rabiu as the commander of Headquarters 31 Artillery Brigade.

The changes reflect the Army's commitment to maintaining a highly professional and combat-ready force capable of addressing current and future security challenges.
