Ebonyi Governor Nwifuru Rejects Wike's Claims on PDP

Ebonyi State Governor Franci Nwifuru addressed a large crowd in Abakaliki, where he responded to claims made by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. Wike suggested that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had allocated Ebonyi State to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the upcoming 2027 governorship election.

Nwifuru labeled these rumors as baseless and insisted that the state would not barter its political control to external forces. He firmly stated, "Ebonyi is not for sale," and warned that "nobody should push us." Nwifuru, who is seeking a second term in office under the All Progressives Congress (APC), also addressed the recent defection of Felix Igbok from the APC to the PDP, alongside 10,000 supporters, highlighting the shifting political alignments in the state.
