Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya Wins NBA Presidential Election

Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya has emerged as the winner of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) presidential election, becoming the 33rd president of the association. The election results, released on Saturday, indicated that she received 12,317 votes, accounting for 47.18% of the total valid votes cast.

Badejo-Okusanya finished ahead of her competitors, including Lateef Akangb, who secured 7,934 votes, and Olumuyiwa Akinboro, who received 5,855 votes. The election also resulted in Oghenero Okoro being elected as the first vice president with 11,024 votes, while Afam Okek won the position of general secretary with 8,478 votes.

Aghogho Gladi was elected as the assistant general secretary with 14,312 votes, and Chinelo Audrei Ofoegbunam was elected as the welfare secretary with 14,911 votes. Following the announcement of the results, Badejo-Okusanya expressed her appreciation to the members of the association for their confidence in her leadership, stating that she is committed to serving the interests of lawyers and fostering a stronger, more inclusive association.
