Three Suspects Remanded for Ogun Broadcaster's Murder

Three suspects, Sodeind Olajuwon Philip, 22, a former security guard, and two others, Sakirudeen Abdulraheem Ayoola, 27, and Sobu Obafunsho, 36, have been remanded for 60 days by Chief Magistrate O.T. Odubanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

This decision follows an ex parte application filed by the Ogun State Police Command, which sought the remand pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). The police arrested the suspects after a foul odor emanating from a residence attracted attention, leading to an investigation.

The application for remand was supported by a 24-paragraph affidavit and included 17 exhibits. The Chief Magistrate granted the police's request, emphasizing the need for justice.

The matter has been adjourned until September 10, 2026, for further proceedings.
