BREAKING: Trump Approves $346m Sale of Precision Ammunition, Rockets to Nigeria

The United States Department of State has approved a potential sale of precision ammunition, bombs, and rockets to Nigeria, valued at an estimated $346 million. The Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday, highlighting that the sale includes 500lb bombs, Air Foil Groups Paveway II, AFGs Paveway II, and Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II rounds.

The sale aims to enhance Nigeria's ability to combat terrorist threats, curb illicit trafficking, and strengthen security in the Gulf of Guinea. The principal contractors for the deal are RTX Missiles Defense in Arizona, Lockheed Martin Corporation in Pennsylvania, and BAE Systems in New Hampshire.

The sale will require additional personnel in Nigeria, but the DSCA assured that it will not have an adverse impact on defense readiness.
