U.S Approves Sales Of Munitions, Bombs, Rockets Worth $346 Million To Nigeria

The U.S has approved the sale of munitions, bombs, and rockets worth $346 million to Nigeria, as reported by Reuters. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) stated that the sale would enhance Nigeria's security capabilities and support U.S foreign policy goals in Africa.

The contractors involved in the proposed transaction include Lockheed Martin, RTX Missiles Defense, and BAE Systems. The package includes defense equipment such as joint programmable fuze bomb components, impulse cartridges, practice rockets, and integration support test equipment.

The DSCA clarified that the deal also includes a technical assistance agreement and an offset agreement tied to the proposed sale. The agency emphasized that the transaction would not weaken Nigeria's defense capability.
