VeryDarkMan Confirms EFCC Invitation Over Complaint

VeryDarkMan, a prominent social media figure, confirmed that he received an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) related to a complaint submitted by legal practitioner Bless Agbomher. The EFCC's investigation is focused on VeryDarkMan's financial activities and the sponsorship arrangements of his advocacy work.

Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju reacted to the investigation on Instagram, asserting that it is a calculated attempt to silence dissenting voices in Nigeria. VeryDarkMan claimed that the probe aims to suppress public criticism of the current administration's shortcomings.

He stated that the complaint alleges that political establishments are attempting to frame advocacy organizations as operating illegally. The complaint was filed against him by an APC member, and the EFCC received the petition at their headquarters on June 18, 2026.
