Brentford Promotes Benjamin Fredrick, Signs New Contract

Brentford FC has officially promoted 21-year-old Nigerian defender Benjamin Fredrick to their first team, rewarding him with a new four-year contract that includes an option for an additional year, extending through the 2026-27 season. This decision reflects the club's confidence in Fredrick's potential to become a key member of the senior squad.

Fredrick has already joined Keith Andrew's squad for pre-season training in preparation for the upcoming Premier League campaign. His promotion follows an impressive rise through Brentford's development ranks, where he demonstrated consistent potential.

Fredrick previously spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Belgian side FCV Dender, where he made 15 appearances across the Belgian Pro League and Croky Cup, gaining valuable first-team experience. Despite suffering a knee injury that prematurely ended his campaign, Brentford remains confident in his abilities and is committed to supporting his recovery.
