Brighton Signs Luka Vuskov from Spurs for £46 Million

Brighton & Hove Albion has officially signed Croatian defender Luka Vuskov from Tottenham Hotspur for a club record fee of £46 million. The 19-year-old has agreed to a five-year contract with the option for a further year.

Reports indicate that the total value of the transfer could reach £50 million, approximately $66 million, including performance-related add-ons. Tottenham retains a 20% sell-on clause as part of the agreement, which may allow them to re-sign the defender in the future.

Brighton's manager, Fabian Hurzel, expressed confidence in Vuskov's potential, stating that while he is a young talent who will need time to adjust to the demands of playing in the Premier League, he believes Vuskov will thrive. Prior to this transfer, Vuskov spent last season on loan at Bundesliga side Hamburg SV, where he made 30 competitive appearances and earned six caps for the Croatian national team, making his debut last month.
