British Airways Pilot Arrested for Filming Women Secretly

A 31-year-old British Airways pilot was arrested on March 5, 2023, on suspicion of voyeurism after allegations surfaced that he secretly filmed 16 women without their consent during hotel stops around the world. The investigation began following reports made to the Metropolitan Police on March 3, 2023, when victims discovered videos appearing on suspicious websites.

One victim noted that she only realized the filming occurred when she saw the pilot's laptop, which had been positioned to record during their encounter. Multiple videos were reportedly found on the pilot's laptop, which had a recording light covered to conceal the act.

The pilot has been released on bail while inquiries continue. British Airways confirmed that the pilot has been stood down pending the outcome of the police investigation.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority is also reviewing the situation regarding substance misuse and will take appropriate action.
