Bungudu LGA Chairman Abducted in Deadly Bandit Attack

On Friday night at approximately 11:40 PM, a bandit attack in Bungudu Local Government Area, Zamfara State, led to the abduction of Hon. Nura Umar Abdullahi, the Chairman of Bungudu LGA. Alongside him, two civilians, Halliru Ahmad Soja, a staff member at the Federal Medical Centre, Gusau, and Hussaini Naira, a young entrepreneur, were also taken.
The attack resulted in the deaths of four security personnel: Inspector Basiru Lawal, Constable Hamza Muhammad, an ADC attached to the Chairman, and two vigilante members, Ibrahim Ba’are and another unidentified member. Alh.
