Four Bandits Killed in Zamfara Security Operation

On Thursday, a security operation in Zamfara led to the death of four bandits as they attempted to attack farmers in the Birnin Magaji area. The incident began around 11:30 AM when the bandits invaded farmland on the outskirts of Nasarawa Godal town, reportedly opening fire to create panic and inflict casualties among the residents working on the farm.

DSP Yazid Abubakar, the police spokesperson, stated that police personnel, supported by community members, quickly mobilized to confront the attackers, resulting in a gun battle that forced the bandits to retreat into a nearby forest. Blood traces were found along their escape route, suggesting that they sustained severe injuries during the exchange of fire.

However, three community members were injured by gunfire during the incident and were immediately taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
