Burna Boy Sets Record as Most Certified Nigerian Artist

Burna Boy has solidified his status as the most certified Nigerian artist in France, achieving a total of 17 plaques. This includes 6 diamond plaques, awarded for his successful collaborations, notably with Shakira, which has recently earned a gold certification.

His music has reached significant commercial success, with his latest hit single "Citi Boi" also earning a platinum plaque. Burna Boy's achievements in France include multiple certified songs, such as "Jerusalema," "Last Last," and "Ye." He has made history by being the first Nigerian artist to sell out the 80,000-capacity Stade de France.

Although he has not released a new single for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, he is expected to perform at the opening ceremony and the final match, which will feature a 30-minute halftime show.
