Burna Boy has joined Colombian pop icon Shakira for the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, titled "Dai Dai." The song is scheduled for release on Thursday, May 14, ahead of the tournament, which will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, across Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Shakira revealed the collaboration through a teaser shared online.

Burna Boy's involvement marks him as the second Nigerian artist to appear in an official World Cup song, following Davido's contribution to "Hayya Hayya (Better Together)" for the 2022 tournament in Qatar. The opening match of the 2026 competition is expected to be held at Estadio Azteca, with the final scheduled for MetLife Stadium.

Burna Boy's previous work has included themes linked to the UEFA Champions League, and it remains unclear whether Shakira will perform "Dai Dai" during the World Cup's opening ceremony next summer.
