CAF Announces Prize Money for U17 Africa Cup of Nations

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has set a substantial prize structure for the upcoming U17 Africa Cup of Nations. The total prize pool for the tournament stands at $715,000.

The champion team will receive $125,000 (approximately N168,979,980), while the runner-up will earn $90,000. Semi-finalists are guaranteed $60,000, and quarter-finalists will receive $50,000.

Teams finishing third in their respective groups will earn $25,000, while those placing fourth in the group stage will receive $20,000. This initiative underscores CAF's ongoing investment in youth football development across the continent, as the U17 Africa Cup of Nations serves as a key platform for emerging talent to showcase their abilities on an international stage.
