Qatar Offers Free 90-Day Visa to Seychelles Only

Qatar has announced a free 90-day tourist visa for citizens of 34 countries, with Seychelles being the sole African nation on the list. The Qatari Ministry of Interior published the eligible nationalities on its official portal, allowing qualifying passport holders to enter Qatar multiple times and stay for up to 90 days per visit.

The visa is valid for 180 days from the date of issue, is non-extendable, and incurs no cost to the applicant. To qualify, travelers must have a passport valid for at least six months and present a confirmed onward or return ticket.

The full list of eligible countries primarily consists of European nations, along with Malaysia and Turkey. In contrast, citizens from most African countries, including Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Egypt, must adhere to standard visa application procedures, which involve fees and additional documentation.

Seychelles' inclusion reflects its strong diplomatic and travel ties with Gulf states, a distinction shared by few other African nations.
