Katsina State's CDP Empowers Two Million Residents

The Katsina State-owned Community Development Programme (CDP) has empowered over two million people through various initiatives and rural development projects. State Coordinator Professor Kamaludden Kabir announced this achievement during the inauguration of the executive committee members of ‘Dikko Mayar Da Alkhairi Da Alkhairi’.
He noted that beneficiaries were drawn from all 361 wards in Katsina State, emphasizing the state government's rural revitalization initiative that has improved livelihoods and created economic opportunities. The CDP distributed 400,000 bags of fertilizer and 60,000 bags of assorted grains to farmers and vulnerable citizens last year, with the same quantities distributed this year.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda mentioned that the World Bank is considering the CDP framework as a model for other states, recognizing its grassroots impact. Additionally, Dr Bashir Gambo Saulawa, the state APC Chairman, urged members to communicate the administration's achievements, including educational and infrastructural developments.
