World Bank Considers Katsina's Community Development Model

Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda stated that the World Bank is contemplating the adoption of Katsina’s Community Development Programme (CDP) framework as a model for other Nigerian states. This announcement was made during the inauguration of the Dikko Mai da Alkhairi da Alkhairi movement in Katsina.
Radda emphasized the CDP's effectiveness as a grassroots mechanism for delivering government interventions, noting that a recent World Bank delegation expressed satisfaction with the programme's impact. He outlined his administration's commitment to leadership based on responsibility and measurable results, detailing reforms across various sectors including security, healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
Radda mentioned that the state has digitalized 118 ministries and increased its monthly internally generated revenue from over N400 million to over N3 billion. Additionally, the State Executive Council approved a solar power intervention for 11 public facilities and various healthcare improvements, all aimed at enhancing grassroots services and economic opportunities in Katsina.
