CeProd Launches Certification to Boost Nigeria's Productivity

The Centre for Productivity (CeProd) has launched a new professional certification program aimed at addressing Nigeria's productivity gap. Dr Chris Egbu, the Director General of CeProd, stated that this initiative is a response to the declining productivity levels in African economies, particularly within the public sector, which adversely affects economic growth and quality of life.

The program is designed to equip participants with practical skills in various areas, including productivity management, organisational performance, digital transformation, and performance measurement. It will cover topics such as staff productivity, employee performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), technology-enabled working, and professional ethics.

Dr Egbu emphasized that improving Nigeria's productivity requires professionals who can identify inefficiencies and manage organisational change, bridging the gap between academic qualifications and the practical skills necessary for enhancing organisational efficiency and performance. Participants will learn to convert workplace activities into measurable results through effective resource management and technology utilization.
