Amir Khan to Host Historic Boxing Event in Lagos

Amir Khan, a former world champion, and the Balmoral Group, led by CEO Dr. Ezekiel Adamu, are organizing a landmark boxing event titled "Chaos in the Ring," scheduled for May 1, 2026, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.

This fight night aims to elevate Nigeria's status in the global boxing arena and will be broadcast live worldwide on DAZN. The event will feature a unique blend of professional boxing and influencer matches, with the main event being a grudge match between social media stars Portable and Carter Efe, who have a combined following of 10 million fans.

Portable is set to receive an appearance fee of N40 million, plus an additional N100 million luxury car incentive. The fight card will also highlight professional bouts, including a clash between Nigerian cruiserweights Ezra Arenyeka and Goddai Appah, both known for their impressive knockout ratios.

This event is positioned as one of the most ambitious boxing events ever staged on Nigerian soil.
