Chinese, Russian Diplomats Consult on UN Affairs

On Wednesday, senior diplomats from China and Russia, Cai Wei, who is the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, and Alexey Alimov, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, convened in Beijing to engage in consultations regarding United Nations affairs. During their discussions, they pledged to jointly uphold multilateralism and support a greater role for the UN in addressing global challenges.

They exchanged views on the international landscape and matters related to major regional and global hotspots. Both diplomats agreed on the importance of safeguarding the UN as the center of the international system and emphasized the need for international order based on international law.

Their collaborative efforts aim to promote political solutions to pressing issues facing the global community.
