Nigerian Army Commissions 10 Bungalows for SNCOs

On Tuesday, the Chief of Army Staff's representative, Major General B.P. Koughna, commissioned 10 transit accommodation bungalows for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) at the 1 Brigade in Gusau, Zamfara State.

This initiative aligns with the Chief of Army Staff's command philosophy prioritizing soldier welfare. Brigadier General Mustafa Jimoh, the commander of the 1 Brigade, highlighted that the construction of these bungalows is intended to address the shortage of residential accommodation within the brigade, thereby reducing congestion and ensuring a conducive living environment for the beneficiaries.

The project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance accommodation and improve the welfare of officers and soldiers in the brigade's area of responsibility. Major M.M.

Kyari, the officer supervising the project, explained that the bungalows consist of ten units, each equipped with suites, toilets, kitchens, solar power, boreholes, overhead water storage tanks, and interlocking stone pavements, with trees planted in front of the structures.
