COAS Commissions New Officers' Quarters in Kaduna

On Tuesday, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General, commissioned newly completed blocks of flats for officers at Ribadu Cantonment in Kaduna. This initiative reflects the Nigerian Army's commitment to enhancing the welfare and living conditions of its personnel and their families.

The accommodation project was initiated and constructed under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede, during his tenure as COAS. At the commissioning ceremony, the COAS praised the CDS for his foresight in providing quality infrastructure.

He noted that decent accommodation is crucial for personnel welfare, which in turn boosts morale and operational effectiveness. The COAS assured that the Army Headquarters would continue to pursue infrastructure development to address accommodation deficits.

Additionally, Lieutenant General Shaibu inspected ongoing construction for soldiers within the cantonment and directed contractors to maintain quality standards and adhere to timelines. He urged beneficiaries to maintain the facilities and uphold high standards of discipline and professionalism.
